our story
In 1981, our family immigrated to the United States from Vietnam as war refugees. With little to their name but a strong knowledge and passion for food and cooking, they opened a restaurant and grocery store to start the chapter of their new lives.
Although these businesses are no longer operating, their love for food has been passed down from generation to generation. But while these recipes have carried on, we’ve adapted them into versions that reflect the changes and growth within our worlds and families…
This is our version.
For us, eating is a moment of peace—a time you can forget about life’s troubles to enjoy what’s right in front of you.
It would’ve been selfish of us to keep this idea to ourselves, which is why we created Vui Vẻ Eatery.
By providing you with clean, elevated Vietnamese food, we hope to give you that moment of peace and joy in the midst of your busy lives.
